Operations

When operating the aircraft, all pilots should be familiar with the following good practise.

Before engine startup

  • Ensure the Garmin GTX 328 Mode S Transponder is switched off.


  • Before engine stop

  • Ensure the Garmin GTX 328 Mode S Transponder is switched off.


  • After each flight

  • The comms and nav equipment should not be switched off individually, but left switched on and powered off using the radio master switch.
  • Close the vent window.
  • Ensure the aircraft is left clean and tidy.
  • Check for, and wash off, any dirt thrown up by the undercarriage onto the underside of the wings and fuselage. Failure to do so, may impair the aerodynamic performance of the aircraft for subsequent flights.


  • After parking the aircraft

  • Replace the nose wheel chock.
  • Replace the pitot head cover.
  • Accurately record the details of your flight in the Aircraft Technical Log.
  • Lock the cabin and hold doors.
